EMEK Ravi Shankar poster on sale details

As I first reported on HERE EMEK's latest is on sale this Saturday

From EMEK

Ravi Shankar is considered one of the world's greatest musicians, and continues to give concerts, tour, teach and compose. He is almost 90 years old, but he can still transcend space and time with his flow.
He is the father of superstar singer Nora Jones and grammy nominated sitar prodigy Anoushka Shankar, who accompanied her father on this tour. Anoushka has played with Thievery Corporation as well, which is very cool.
you can see some recent footage of Ravi here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eG2moqxqIaE

Ravi Shankar was already a respected classical musician when in the mid 60's Beatles guitarist George Harrison studied with him.
you can see a vintage youtube clip of them here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erLZ-zW9Ti4

Harrison later played the sitar on the Beatles song "Norwegian Wood", as well as 6 other Beatles songs.
Ravi also influenced Rolling Stones founding member Brian Jones on how to play the sitar, for the Rolling Stones' song "Paint it Black". Those songs wouldn't have happened without Mr. Shankar's guidance.
Ravi's association with the Beatles made Shankar an international star. In turn, through the Beatles, the philosophy, music and fashion of the East became adopted by the '60s peace movement, becoming icons of that era.

Shankar performed at the Monterey Pop Festival 1967, the Woodstock Festival in 1969, and Carnegie Hall many times-- Interestingly, the Monterey Pop Festival had a lot of firsts: It was the first big Rock Festival, the first major American appearances by Jimi Hendrix and The Who, the first large public performances of Janis Joplin and Otis Redding and the first American performance by Ravi Shankar

Ravi has received many awards throughout his career, including many Grammy Awards and an Academy Award nomination for the score to Ghandi.
But he has not had a really cool concert poster in over 40 years.

This 2009 poster was for a special concert in his home town of New Delhi, India. I have had the fortune to visit there and it is one of the most amazing places.
It was my honor to make this poster for him.

The poster measures 17" x 25" and is an 8 color silkscreen with metallic gold ink
signed, numbered, doodled and embossed
