Drew Struzan has created some of the most iconic movie posters of the last 30 years, from Harry Potter to Hellboy, Raiders of the Lost Ark to Back to the Future. This extravagant hardcover edition of DREW STRUZAN: OEUVRE, written by Drew and his wife and with a Foreword by George Lucas, film producer, screen-writer, director and founder/chairman of Lucasfilm Ltd., features over 250 pieces of art, including all of Drew’s most iconic movie images, as well as other career highlights, from record album, book, and comic book covers, to stamps, trading cards, promotional artwork and very personal original works. —This right-up-to-date collection of Struzan’s work includes recent and never-before-published pieces including Star Wars: Episode III poster art; Indiana Jones 4 poster art; Walking Dead poster art; Hellboy 2 poster art; Pan's Labyrinth poster art; Lord of the Rings trading cards; and never before published personal works.

Huge thanks to Titan Books for sending me a copy of this jaw dropping book to review. First off this is a large heavy coffee table book with 320 pages of the most beautiful movie posters ever created. It is an amazing collection of movie art by the one man that has set the standard for what a movie poster should look like. In looking through the book, you can see Drew's design influence on all the latest limited edition movie posters created recently. He truly is the godfather of modern movie posters. Seeing the work without the movie text on them is the biggest highlight for me. These are works of art, painted and hand drawn by a real artist.

There are several 3 panel gate fold pages that reveal some of his best works in triptych fashion. In the back of the book there is a guide that gives details on each image including title size and what he used to create it. This really is a must have for fans of Drew and movie posters a like.

Buy it HERE if you click buy it on the Titan website it will take you to Amazon to purchase the book and it's on discount right now for $31.

  1. The only problem I have encountered with this book is the extremely poor binding. I went through (8) copies and even the last one came apart in my hands. This is a tragedy as I love the work of Struzan, too bad they picked the wrong publisher.
